Centro Campesino Farmworkers Center

A re-imagined community center where technology and resilience converge to uplift farmworker families.

Centro Campesino Farmworkers Center Facility Renovations and Addition

FLORIDA CITY, FL

Since 1972, this center has stood as a sanctuary for farm worker families. A place of trust, resilience, and hope. Over the decades, it has provided access to affordable housing, guided families into homeownership, and fostered economic growth. It has also served, time and again, as a shelter in storms, both literal and figurative, proving itself to be the heart of the community.

Now with its renovation and thoughtful addition, the center is being reimagined for the future. Three classrooms will be fully modernized and equipped with computer stations, opening new horizons for after school care and summer programs. A vibrant “tech hub” will offer open access computer stations for teens and adults alike. A bridge to education, opportunity, and digital inclusion. Within its walls, a new telemedicine room will connect families to essential healthcare, eliminating barriers that once kept care out of reach.

The new 1,600 SF conference center will expand the building’s capacity to host courses in workforce development, financial literacy, and homebuyer readiness. Together, these spaces transform the center into a hub where connection, learning, and advancement intersect.

This is not simply a renovation; it is a renewal of purpose, a rededication to the families who have long called this place their own. It is architecture in service of community — resilient, forward-looking, and rooted in belief that access creates opportunity and opportunity creates futures.
